Move over Playa del Carmen, step aside Phuket – even you Bali, you can take a seat, as a new beach town has swept in and claimed first place for “Alex’s favourite beach spot”, and that is Buzios.

Guys – do I have a treat in store for you today!!
BACON JAM!
Yes, you did read that right! Bacon Jam is probably one of the most amazing food creations that I have come across, its sweet, its savoury and its smoky all at the same time. Basically it is the best jam you will come across, and no longer will you waste your time with that strawberry nonsense ;)
Last night I made an experiment in my kitchen – an experiment which had fantastic results. I made a pizza without a trace of flour/starch/gluten! I made a cauliflower pizza.

For those of you who are familiar with the LCHF lifestyle – this will be nothing new for you. However for those of you who aren’t, you may ask yourself ‘what is a cauliflower pizza’? Keep Reading

Last Friday I made possibly the easiest and most delicious curry I have made to-date. It was one of those dishes, that when I tasted it, I thought to myself – did I really make that?! It was delicious, and I was excited. Yes, I get incredibly excited when something that tastes so good is made by myself – spatula in hand I did a little jig and then than called C over to taste it. I expected him to break out into a little dance too – naturally that didn’t happen, but he did agree it was delicious. Keep Reading
My, my, my it has been quiet around here lately – I do apologise.
I have come to the realisation that I am a terrible blogger, as I am just unable to multi-task! As soon as I have a lot on my plate, The Travelling Chopsticks get pushed to the curb side. All inspiration dries up, and I just focus on the tasks at hand.
What is that you may ask? Well – it is all quite exciting really.
Well – I seem to be on a bit of a baking roll at the moment as I have yet another superb baking recipe for you today! A very rich and decadent chocolate cake – and what is even more surprising to me, is that there is absolutely no flour in it.
Please don’t judge it by this terrible photo – as the photo really does not do this cake justice! I was rushing to serve it to my guests that I only took this miserable shot!
After an exciting day exploring Buenos Aires by bike on the Saturday (which you can read about here), C and I decided to wind it down a notch, and have a wonderfully relaxed Sunday.
Buenos Aires is famous for their weekend markets – the most popular being in San Telmo and Recoleta. However, C and I had heard of another Sunday market that had caught our attention, and that was the Feira de Mataderos.

Thanks to a good friend of mine here in Brasilia – I have come across the BEST and the EASIEST brownie recipe that does not include adding oil & water and ‘just stir’ (aka Betty Crocker). These bad boys are everything that a brownie should be, fudgy and dense in the middle and slightly crispy and flakey on top. Keep Reading
Happy Friday everyone!
Here is just a quick recipe I wanted to share with you to kick start your weekend! Although, it is so straight-forward it is actually perfect for a mid-week meal. So if like me, you plan your week’s dinner menu the week before, make sure you add this one on to your list :)

The chicken burgers are so juicy and flavourful you will wonder why you don’t make them more often, and the asian greens are so versatile, you can use whatever vegetables you can get your hands on, as the dressing is the real star that will steal the show! Keep Reading
A few months ago, C and I spent a wonderful long weekend in Buenos Aires. It was such a magical and romantic few days, that it has taken me quite a while to let the whole experience sink in and be able to put it into words. Quite frankly the city stole my heart. The European architecture, the beautiful people, the vibrant restaurant scene – everything about Buenos Aires sang to me.
