According to the UN’s Annual World’s Happiness Report, Scandinavia (Sweden, Denmark and Norway) as well as our Nordic neighbours (Finland, Iceland, Switzerland and Austria) are ranked within the Top 10 happiest countries in the world.
To be honest this does not come as a surprise to me. The older I become and the more I work and experience living in other countries the more I realise what a fantastic country Sweden is, and what amazing opportunities the country has for it’s citizens. I am a very proud Swede =)
So keeping with the above theme, I thought I would share with you some of my happiest pictures and moments from Sweden. I hope you enjoy them and they make you happy as well:
Being outdoors with my family!
Amazing views from my garden
Crayfish parties with good friends and families
Long bike rides in glorious weather
Happy Cows!
Scenes that look like they are an oil painting
Hot Summer Days
Warm Summer Evenings
Celebrating my Birthday with Princess cake
Incredible Nature
So there you have it – welcome to my happy place! I hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I did putting them together. Maybe it is time you visited one of the happiest countries in the world?
Alex, I really enjoyed reading the piece and the pictures! Thank you for sharing this! Wanda
Can’t wait to visit again, we loved it! Xxx
I love this post! My neighbor is from Sweden and they always get a Princess cake for birthdays at their house, so now I see it is a Swedish tradition! I would love to visit Sweden one day (during summertime, of course)! It’s not that far from Scotland, but it looks as though you probably get less rain! ;)
ha ha i’m not sure about that Christina. When I was back in Sweden recently, it rained pretty much the whole time…I can tell you then Sweden is not my happy place ;) But yes, if you get the chance you should definitely visit Sweden, it really is a beautiful country – and yes, only go in the summer! The winters are pretty harsh!
Beautiful photos! I’ve never been to Sweden, but I would love to visit one day!
Hi Kavi – you really should if you get the chance! But like I said to Christina, try and go in Sping or Summer as that is when Sweden is at its finest! :)
Beautiful shots! Thanks for a look around Sweden, and it is always nice to see a family around the table…especially to get a glimpse of the culture and happiness.
We haven’t made it to any of the Nordic countries in our travels yet, but they are definitely high on our bucket list of places to visit!!
